Nestled in the back of a city neighborhood, next to a graveyard, this little slab of paradise gets its name from the nearby trail that leads to Texas Beach. Its not really much of a beach, more like a lil sand on the shore of the James, where you can have some fun, get chased by snakes and train kids and swim in the sewage. Anyhow, thanks to some good dudes, the DIY spot is getting better every day, consisting now mostly of concrete transition nowadays covered some lovely artwork. Following is a basic photo narrative of an afternoon at Texas Beach. Pretty much every local ripper was present and much fun ensued, minus the part where an 8 year old kid stole my phone.

Help me pay for surgery!

This past Friday I finally got surgery on my septum/nose bone, sinuses and inside of my nose. For years I have been suffering from not being able to breath through my nose due to breaking it when I was a teen. It was ok for awhile, but as I aged the problems got worse. After years of interrupted sleep, pain, constant infections and sickness I am now able to breath and my sinuses able to drain properly. I had insurance under my parents last week and that left me with a $1400 deductible to pay. Now that its 2013 i no longer have insurance and have to pay for the follow up visits, medication and such out of pocket (none of which i could barely afford even when I had insurance). I’m steadily healing from surgery, but now with almost $2000 in bills and no way to pay, I’m asking for my friends’ help. Even if you only donate a dollar, it will help! I’m not proud to ask for help, but my health was at stake and the surgery necessary. Its a little scary having health issues and no insurance (and being broke on top of that) and anything you all do will help greatly!
